Hermanubis (Greek: Eρμανονβις ) combined the Greek Hermes with the Egyptain Anubis. Hermes and Anubis’s were both conductors of souls and their similar responsibilities led to the god Hermanubis. Depicted as having a human body and the jackal head of Anubis with the sacred caduceus that belonged to the Greek god Hermes, he represented the Egyptian priesthood, and was engaged in the investigation of truth.
